Animal Rescue ClubFridays at Lunch; P10 & Exec Meetings  Monday Mornings at 7:45AMThe Animal Rescue Club will spread awareness and knowledge about the humane treatment of  animals, and discuss responsible pet ownership. In addition to this, the club will ensure students  are aware of endangered species, and other societal abuses of animals. This club has many plans  for the future including campaigns, fundraisers, and presentations. Some issues we hope on  touching on include puppy mills, inhumane treatment of cetaceans, current endangered     watchlists in BC, and factory farming.Mr. Ramanathan

We would like to help students prepare and provide opportunities for competing in coding competitions such as the Canadian Computing Competition (CCC). Couture ClubThursdays, in "E" block from 2.20 to 3.45, in room 115The Couture club is for students who are interested in exploring fashion, textiles, for those wanting to explore designing more deeply, and learn a new skill. Members will have access to the sewing machine, gain knowledge on different aesthetics of clothing, colour theories, upcycling and repairing clothing, explore different clothing cultures and how they express identity. Eco Sparks ClubThursdays at lunch, biweekly in Portable 9Eco Sparks is focused on making the school community a greener and cleaner place. The purpose of this club is to show that even small actions, when added together, can create a much bigger positive impact on the environment. We will be doing projects whether it is planting a small patch of herbs or flowers, setting up recycling bins to encourage students to reuse materials, or organizing clean-up days around the school grounds, our goal is to inspire students to take pride in caring for nature and to recognize that little changes really do make a difference.Mr. Dewar

Firehawks Make ChangeTBAThe Firehawks Make Change club partners with Makers Making Change to build assistive devices that empower people with disabilities. A core team of 10 students will choose 20 devices from a catalog of 200+ open-source designs, then lead school or community makeathons to build them. Projects may include adaptive switches, joysticks, daily living aids, and more. Volunteers can help at events, and experience with 3D printing or electronics is a bonus.Mrs. Desrochers & Mr. Ramanathan
FHS Humanitarian ClubD 106, Bi-weekly on Wednesdays Through volunteering, fundraising initiatives, and collaboration with Boston-Global Youth Philanthropy (GYP), this club offers students a range of opportunities to explore and develop a passion for humanitarian work. The focus is on Youth Humanitarian Advocacy and Research.Ms. Muir

FH Men's Mental Health ClubEvery other Thursday, at lunch, in room D 201The Men’s Mental Health and Awareness Club aims to shine the light on the issues of mental health specifically in male individuals. The club focuses specifically on men largely because of societal standards and expectations making it often difficult for men to express their emotions. Our plans include spreading the message on unfair societal stigmas with different group projects, as well as providing a space where individuals can gather and speak out comfortably on things that may be seen as “less masculine” to society.Ms.Kambo

Her Voice ClubMondays at Lunch Portable 10Her Voice Club at Fraser Heights Secondary School is committed to educating our students about the difficulties that women today face while also encouraging and supporting women especially those who are dealing with societal concerns in Surrey. Our club's goal is to establish a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere where students can get together to discuss topics including domestic abuse, unfair pay, and gender inequality, and much more. We hope to increase awareness of these concerns among Fraser Heights students and give practical support to women in need through seminars, care packages, and fundraisers. Our club, which is led by dedicated and industrious students, is dedicated to reaching these objectives. We plan to hold workshops to educate and involve the school community, in addition to planning monthly fundraising and volunteering events to support local women's shelters and organizations. Our goal is to provide students with the tools they need to become confident in supporting other and policies that benefit women in Surrey and beyond, and take positive action.Mr. Ramanathan

HOSA ClubMondays, room D202 at lunch. HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) club is unique because it focuses specifically on healthcare careers and connects students with a national and international network. Unlike other already existing science or leadership clubs, HOSA offers structured competitions, workshops, and conferences (FLC and SLC) that provide hands-on learning, leadership training, and professional development directly tied to health professions. This gives our club members exposure beyond our school.Mr. McCune
Justice Report ClubThursdays bi-weekly @ lunch, room 116/117The Justice Report mainly focuses on advocating for issues that involve law, crime, racism, gender inequality, and more. We bring justice by reporting and sharing the stories and spreading the overall message. Students learn a plethora of skills and experiences, opening room to understand many diverse stories and work together to make a difference. Mechatronics ClubMondays, 2.30 - 3.30, Rm. 210Our club will be focused on learning, designing, and competing on everything related to mechatronics. This will include electronics, robotics, engineering, along with other STEM subjects. Our club will compete in the CANSAT and Junior CANSAT competition hosted every May in Alberta, as well as other possible competitions such as the Space Apps Challenge.Mr. Larkin
Medical Outreach for Maternal Support ClubEvery Thursday during the entirety of Lunch Block, Portable 4This club is unique because it focuses on an overlooked group in the community, mothers during pregnancy and postpartum. Through donation drives, emotional support initiatives, and partnerships with local organizations, the club provides practical help to mothers in need. At the same time, it raises awareness about postpartum depression, teaching students about the science behind it while reducing stigma and encouraging empathy. We also aim to create a website that can share the stories about the mothers in our community, and connect women across communities. We wish to combine health education with outreach.Mr. Soyka

Mock Trials ClubMondays after school room 213Our club’s mandate is to encourage students to learn about the Canadian legal system in a fun and interactive manner, with an emphasis on trials. Model Rocketry ClubThursday at lunch in Portable 5To build, test, and learn about model rocketry. Serves as unique way to help develop interest in aerospace and flight. Not only do we learn important concepts, develop teamwork building skills, but also have fun! We hope this club can inspire people and also carry on for years. We will do this by building our own model rockets ranging from model motor rockets, water rockets, and if possible even sugar rockets.Mr. Greczi

Muslim Students Association ClubFridays at lunch in Portable 10The Muslim Student Association (MSA) of Fraser Heights Secondary School, is a club that pushes to allow Muslim students of Fraser Heights to freely and comfortably practice their faith in School. Our goals are to establish afternoon prayers for the practicing students, and allow them to feel comfortable in expressing who they are, through praying, interacting with their fellow muslims, and special events.Mr.  Ramanathan
Ni Hao Chinese Culture ClubMeeting every Wednesday at lunch in Mr. McCune’s room. Room: D202This club is unique because it provides a space for students to learn about and celebrate Chinese culture together. During traditional Chinese festivals, we will organise celebrations so everyone can experience these cultural moments as a community. We can also bring in food and share it. A key goal of the club is to support new students arriving from China, helping them feel a sense of belonging and build friendships. Since many of these students may not yet feel confident in English, I and other members who are more fluent will offer guidance and support. This combination of cultural sharing, celebration, and peer support makes our club distinct from others on campus.Mr. McCune

Philosophy ClubThursdays from 2.30 to 3.30 in room D 216In a typical Ethics Bowl meeting, students discuss and analyze case studies that involve political, social, or economic dilemmas. Students practice their public speaking and critical thinking skills by splitting up into two teams and proposing solutions to ethical issues. Science ClubWednesdays 3:00-4:00 Room 205The Fraser Heights Science Club strives to ignite/fuel a passion for science in students from across the school through a diverse range of engaging activities, competitions, and lessons.  These include participation in in-school competitions like egg drop, mouse-trap cars, and wiki-races.  Some external opportunities offered through the club include UBC Physics Olympics, Science Fair projects, and other science competitions.Ms. Mand
